Elmo and Grover stopped by the studio this past week to help us with our Frist Edition broadcast. Elmo was a pro at helping me with the forecast. Seriously, in person you can't help but smile when you look at them in their furry costumes.
My favorite part is that there are built in butts for the costumes so it looks liekt hey have chubby little rear ends. Perfect!

May is sweeps inthe world of TV, and that means our ratings are measured. This is one of the four times per year that we work on some special projects. Maybe some investigative reporting, or a feature that takes a little more in depth digging. Then instead of just one 2-minute story on the topic, we bring you a series of three that takes a bigger and more intense look at the subject.
Most of the time, these are news stories. But the weather team is joining in this round for a series titled, "The Making of a Meteorologist." We'll tackle a wide variety of topics:
